Having a Baby? Congratulations!

We know this is an exciting time for you and that you are busy preparing for the arrival of your precious baby. Selecting a pediatrician is such an important task and we are happy that you are considering Advocare Broomall Pediatric Associates. We have been around for over 65 years and are a proud part of our communities.

In order for you to ‘get a feel’ for our practice, and see if it is a good fit for you and your family, we host ‘Prenatal Nights’, where you can meet one of our providers, get a tour of the office and ask questions. These events are held monthly. If you would like to attend please contact our office and they will add you to the list for the next month’s Prenatal Night.

Once you have the baby, the nurse in the hospital will ask you who you are selecting as your pediatrician, you will tell them Advocare Broomall Pediatric Associates and they will then alert our practice that you have given birth. You do not have to register your child with our practice until you are discharged from the hospital. Once you are discharged please call our office to schedule your first appointment. Rest assured that we will get you an appointment to be seen based on the recommendation of the hospital. At this first appointment please bring your discharge papers from the hospital, as well as the mother’s health insurance card. Please note that we cannot accept new patients who are enrolled in Medicaid as their primary insurance, and that new patients need to be in our office for at least 1 year prior to changing their primary insurance to Medicaid.

Your child’s records will be kept in an electronic format, and you may go to any location for any appointment. Just make sure that you let us know which location you prefer when you schedule. You can schedule appointments with the provider that you most prefer, but we suggest that you book appointments with a number of different providers in our office so that you and  your child will be comfortable seeing any one of them. We understand that not every patient ‘gels’ with every provider, so if you are more comfortable seeing 1 or 2 exclusively, that is fine. Just remember that for sick appointments your preferred provider may not be on call that day.

Thank you again for considering us, and Congratulations! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office.
